What is the process based on? The idea is based on covering the top surface of the substrate in the pot with loose material. By covering the top layer of the substrate with San Top mulch ? If weed seeds germinate below the surface of the mulch, without access to light, they will usually be too weak to break through to the surface and begin proper growth.
