Demtec Smart potter belongs to the group of compact machines with great performance and parameters. It is a small and mobile machine that can be easily transported to its destination. Thanks to its robust design, it is not intimidated by operation even in harsh conditions. Despite its small size, it offers very similar performance to its larger counterparts. It has a 16-seat carousel, equipped with a central adjustment that makes it quick and easy to adjust to handle different size pots. The height is adjusted by raising or lowering the pedestals, and the operation itself is very easy and fast. The pots are separated from the stack using the DTC-1 pneumatic pot feeder. The feeder handles round pots, and when equipped with the appropriate attachment, it also splits square pots perfectly. The pots go on a carousel, are transported under the substrate backfill, where they are filled with it, then they are moved under the drilling unit, which automatically makes a hole in them for the seedling. Planting can be done on the carousel but due to the small size of the machine, planting on the receiving conveyor belt will be more efficient. The conveyor belt is connected by a special connector, and its position can be adjusted around the accessible part of the carousel. Filled pots are pulled down onto a receiving conveyor by a linear scraper arm. This machine can be equipped with a number of interesting additional options that further improve its operation. Some of the most interesting include: a peeled fertilizer feeder and an automatic conveyor belt that stores empty pots.
Demtec Smart is one of the more interesting potting machines, particularly recommended for farms that want high productivity while saving space. The ease of its operation and the speed with which it can be adapted to handle other pots is not insignificant. It performs well in both flower production and nursery stock.
