Hobbies

Ceres, using its experience in the production of substrates for professionals, has created a line of Green Planet substrates dedicated to the hobby market. In addition to bagged substrates, we offer a very interesting product which is COCO-GRUNT ? compressed coconut substrate.
Another item in our offer is PRESSPOT pressed plant rooting discs.
In addition to substrates, Ceres offers a wide selection of both decorative and sports artificial turf.

COCOGRUNT COMPRESSED COCONUT FIBER SUBSTRATE

COCO-GRUNT is a 100% natural product that causes better development of green and flowering plants. It consists of millions of microscopic spongy coconut fibers. Thanks to the excellent capillary system, there is an even constant distribution of water and maintenance of moisture. Very high porosity allows air access throughout the substrate. Such conditions result in very good development of the root system and, as a result, the above-ground parts of the plants.

Application:

Instead of flower soil, peat or normal garden soil . For all the green and flowering plants ? Potted, balcony, bedding plants, seedlings and seedlings (not recommended for ferns). It can be mixed with other types of substrates to improve their structure.

Advantages for trade:
? incomparable product
? fills a whole market niche ? very broad application
? numerous potential customers
? very high quality product
? guaranteed quality
? unique on the Polish market

Additional benefits:

COCO-GRUNT Has a constant pH of approx. 6.0, which allows proper absorption of minerals from the substrate. COCO-GRUNT Is free of harmful substances. For maximum effect, add nutrients according to the requirements of each plant species and season.

      PEAT DISKS (POTS) SWELLING ?PRESSPOT?

Peat swelling discs (pots) ?Presspot? are used for the production of seedlings of vegetables, flowers, deciduous and coniferous ornamental trees and shrubs and herbs.

Presspot pots are made from high-quality fibrous peat sourced from Finnish peat bogs. Fiber peat is characterized by a high water capacity, which makes the disks swell very quickly when water is added. It is characterized by a very high air capacity, which guarantees the roots optimal access to oxygen. These properties provide excellent conditions for the growth and development of whole plants. They form a strong compact root system, are not stressed when transplanted (into the ground or containers), and are stocky and healthy due to the optimal nutrient content in each disc.

In this type of pots you can propagate a variety of crops by direct sowing of seeds, you can quilt seedlings, root cuttings and adapt ex vitro micro-plants at reduced production costs, because:

      • containers (eco-friendly, environmentally friendly, decomposable paper)substrate is a whole, so there is no need to purchase pots, prepare and disinfect the substrate
      • Storage space is saved,
      • The cost of transportation and loading is reduced,
      • Rooting is fast and uniform, thus saving time and space in the multiplier,
      • The plants have an even quality,
      • plants have an even quality, and it provides plants with a constant and uniform moisture content,
      • labor intensity is lower, with increased hygiene.

An essential prerequisite for successful cultivation in swellable disks (pots) is to maintain constant humidity after they swell. A visible symptom of optimal hydration is the dark brown color of the pot. These conditions ensure the proper formation of the root system with a compact root ball, so that the plants do not undergo stress at the time of repotting, have a longer lifespan, grow in soil free of diseases and pests, are cheaper and stronger, and easier to transport.
