SUBSTRATES FOR BLUEBERRIES
Container cultivation, especially under covers, offers the possibility of getting a fully fruiting bush of a given blueberry variety in a shorter period of time than with traditional planting in the soil. According to the long experience of Dutch and British producers, who carry out the largest number of such crops, the best performing substrate for this type of production is a substrate consisting of coconut fiber, low mineralization high peat and perlite in appropriately selected proportions and fractions that ensure the stability of the substrate for many years.

Blueberry Rooting Substrates
The production of blueberry seedlings requires the provision of suitable conditions. Especially for growers who root blueberry cuttings, we created our proprietary substrate for rooting these plants. Its formulation is based on the highest quality seeded brick peat with added agroperlite. Thanks to the use of fine fractions of peat and perlite, our substrate is ideal for filling multiplats with many fine cells, both by hand and by machine, providing the ideal degree of filling of individual cells and the best air and water properties for rooting cuttings. The substrate for rooting blueberry cuttings will also be perfect for the paper pot process, which is an increasingly popular method of rooting cuttings.
