Cyst nematodes cause significant losses to all agricultural crops every year and their chemical control is often limited or completely ineffective. Bacillus firmus included in MATODEX is a bacterium that multiplies on the surface of roots, absorbs and metabolizes secreted substances such as organic amino acids and sugars, which it then uses as nutrients without giving nematodes access to them. It also acts directly on eggs, degrading their proteins. Fungi of the genus Streptomyces secrete compounds that cause the nematodes to break down and release the nutrients they have accumulated. Soil microorganisms that reduce the destructive potential of nematodes are among the most important biological control measures that can be applied to conventional and organic crops.

Application:

Before use, dilute in water, mix with CARBOGEN L and let stand for 12-24 h for activation of microorganisms contained in the formulation. This activation will allow the microorganisms to realize their full potential. It will also allow them to start working immediately in the soil or on the plant and ensure longer activity. Apply with plenty of water to ensure that the product penetrates 15-20 cm. MATODEX should be applied directly to the soil before planting or immediately after planting plants. It can be used at the same time with other mycorrhizal preparations, but in this situation the activation itself should be carried out in separate containers.

Dosage:

In fertigation 2-4 l/ha, increase the amount and/or repeat if necessary. Re-apply in the warm season, in combination with KEN® for better root development.
