The Urbinati IA 3500 is a large machine that will be great for medium or larger farms that are looking for a machine with great capabilities. Thanks to its parameters, the machine handles a wider range of pots and gives the ability to smoothly adjust the output to current needs, reaching up to 4,500 pots per hour for small pots with a diameter of 8 cm, and up to 2,500 pots per hour for large pots with a diameter of 25 cm. It is a machine based on electromechanical solutions, and its design ensures easy and quick adjustment and intuitive operation. The machine is designed to automatically feed and fill pots with various types of substrates and substrates, and its hopper has a capacity of 1600 liters. It supports round pots from 8 to 25 cm in diameter. The transition from a round pot to a square pot is very simple and quick and requires no additional hardware. The pots are automatically separated from the stack by an electromechanical feeder and go to a carousel equipped with 8 places and central adjustment of the diameter and height of the carousel, which carries them under the feed. Under the backfill, the pot is filled and in the next movement goes under the drilling unit, which automatically makes a hole for the seedling. The unit has independent adjustment of the hole depth, and the machine comes standard with a metal drill with a diameter of 40 mm. Excess peat from both the backfill and the drilling unit goes back into the backfill and is reused. After the hole is made, the pot goes under a scraper arm that pushes it onto a conveyor belt that receives the filled pots. The machine is equipped as standard with a 4,000-mm-long receiving conveyor belt with special pedestals on which to place the multiplates with seedlings, making planting easy and convenient. This conveyor belt can be extended by additional units or can be terminated by a rotary table, on which the pots are accumulated and packed, for example, into crates or cc carts.
As an option, the machine can be equipped with an automatic pelleted fertilizer dispenser that feeds a predetermined dose of long-acting fertilizer into each hole prepared in advance by the drilling unit.
Controlling the machine is very simple and intuitive, thanks to a portable remote control with a color touchscreen. With this unit, we can smoothly control all parameters of the machine, check the current performance, and even save programs for the different types of pots used, making pot resizing much faster and more efficient (requires optional equipment).
