The Urbinati IA 2500 potting machine is an interesting solution for manufacturers who are looking for a machine with smaller dimensions but sizable production capabilities. It is a machine whose operation is based on electronic-pneumatic solutions, and its design ensures simple and intuitive operation. This machine is designed to automatically feed and fill pots with different types of substrates and substrates. It supports round pots from 8 to 24 cm in diameter. The machine also comes with an attachment that makes it easy to modify the feeder to handle square pots. The pots are automatically separated from the stack by a pneumatic feeder and go to a carousel that moves them under the backfill. Under the backfill, the pot is filled and in the next movement goes under the drilling unit, which automatically makes a hole for the seedling. The unit has independent hole depth adjustment, and the machine comes standard with a set of drill bits. After the hole is made, the pot goes under a scraper arm that pushes it onto a conveyor belt that receives the filled pots. The machine is equipped as standard with a 3000-mm-long receiving conveyor belt with special handles on which multiplates with seedlings can be placed, making planting easy and convenient. The conveyor can be mounted in one of 3 possible positions, so you can adjust the pickup direction to suit the situation at the planting site. This conveyor belt can be extended by additional units or can be terminated by a rotary table, on which the pots are accumulated and packed, for example, into crates or cc carts.
As an option, the machine can be equipped with an automatic pelleted fertilizer dispenser that feeds a predetermined dose of long-acting fertilizer into each hole prepared in advance by the drilling unit.
